Eleaf iStick Pico Baby Kit Review

All right everybody? Welcome to the up close and personal with the iStick Pico Baby.

This is the box that it comes in. very generic looking, typical Eleaf. On the side, you got your authenticity code there and everything. Eleaf world branding on the bottom. On the back there, you have your contents. If you want to pause the video right now and read that, you can.

It comes with the GS tank in 2.75 ohm coils. Has a maximum output wattage of 25 watts. You get everything you normally get with all these mods here.

We’ll put the Pico to the side for a second. Beautiful green one, though. They did a nice job on that. They really did.

Pull out the foam insert. Pull out the cardboard insert and inside you have a little Baby tank vape band, some spare O rings and here is your spare coil. This is the .75 GS coil that goes with that tank. I have one in the tank and one spare. This is the USB cable that your received with it. Of course, you get the obligatory books and stuff like that, quick guide, user manual. We’ll file all that to the side. Let’s get this box to the side.

FROM TOP TO BOTTOM

Let’s get down to the nitty gritty which is the Pico the iStick Pico Baby. I think they did a nice job on this. I love the color. I think the color is absolutely fantastic. I always love green. I was real happy. It has an almost like [Inaudible 02:54] finish. Real smooth texture to it. There’s your micro USB cable. There’s your sight glass so you can see what’s going on with your tank, your juice level and everything like that. Very subtle branding. A little bit of Eleaf branding right there. On the bottom, we have 2 screws holding the bottom plate in place.

One really neat feature, I like where they put the fire button. I like the fact that they put it on top like that and it’s kind of got like that mushroom shape to it. It’s got a nice feel to it. Long throw but really really nice.

The one thing that I really like a bout it is the locking feature. It has a mechanical locking feature where you simply screw it down like this and now, the mod will not fire. You can safely put it in your pocket and nothing will happen. Then to unlock it, you simply unscrew it until it doesn’t go anymore and you’re ready to fire. I think that’s kind of cool. I really like that. I think it’s innovative.

Now, take this thing out. It’s magnetic. You can see down there. The connection is magnetic. There’s also plenty of room for your airflow for the tank.

Let’s put the mod to the side for a second. We have a metal 510 drip tip. Not crazy about the metal drip tip. It’s a long mouth to lung style type of drip tip but I’d rather something plastic or delrin.

So this is the GS tank. We’ve all seen this before. This is a pretty old tank by Eleaf. This is the part that the magnet goes to when you drop it into the tank. But the nice thing about it is you can take that part of and then you just have a regular 510 and if you’d like to, you can just run it on another mod if you want to. That’s kind of cool.

A little bit of Eleaf branding over here in the tank. I’m not too crazy about that but they’re always doing something like that.

Airflow, really simple. Stoppers on both ends. If you want to run it wide open, that’s it wide open. And then you can cut it down for a mouth to lung vape. Obviously, the further you go down mouth to lung vape, you want to be around 2 or 3 holes will give you a really nice tight mouth to lung vape. That will definitely work.

The tank is very versatile. You can [Inaudible 05:43] hit it when it’s wide open and you can definitely legitimately mouth to lung it when it’s close down. They did a good job on the versatility of the tank.

The one annoying thing that – I don’t know, Eleaf has been doing it with some other mods too and some other kits that they’ve come out with. This is a bottom fill tank. It’s kind of ridiculous, man. Come on, guys. Bottom fill is like how many years ago, right? I haven’t had a bottom filled tank. I think my last one was the Kangertech STM. The SubTank Mini.

The threading is nice and smooth but it’s bottom fill so you can only fill it up to the hole. Once you get- you don’t want to go past the hole because your juice will come out of the drip tip. It’s an oldest style tank. I really think it’s about time Eleaf updates it. But what are you going to do? That’s the way they decided to go with it. But i would definitely like to see them update this tank.

You fill this thing very very simple. You take the bottom piece out like you did old school, in the old days. We’re going to be using some Cookie King Dunk today. This juice is really fantastic. If you’re into like cookies and milk, definitely check this one out. It’s a winner. I’ve been vaping this for a while. I’m on my second bottle already. I’m halfway through my second bottle. I love it.

What you do in order to fill it is, you want to make sure you’re on the inside of the tank. And you just want to fill it- I don’t know if you can see that- right up to the hole. You don’t want to go past that hole because if you do, the juice is going to come through the chimney. Once it’s filled up to the hole, you simply screw your atomizer back together. Put the base back on. Open up the airflow to your desired airflow and then get your mod and just drop it in.

Once you had it filled up, you put your base back on. Make sure also if you took this off, you don’t have to take it off. I just took it off to show you that it’s got a real 510 connection there. Make sure you put this back on.

After it’s all filled up, all you do is take your mod. Drop it in and she’s clicked into place. She’s ready to vape.
